Jesus Martín Moreno & Violet Mariah Mutuk
Born on January 15th, 1998 and July 13th, 1998 in Laredo, Texas.
Jesus: So a spirit box is basically like a radio. And it, what it does is it's capable of jumping from one radio station to the next in a matter of milliseconds. So it will channel through all the radio stations and all you should be hearing is white noise. Or less than a millisecond of, like, somebody saying a word. The idea being that spirits and entities can use the white noise to say words. So if you're channeling through all these radio stations at such a fast frequency, you shouldn't hear a complete word. Or you shouldn't hear - much less like a full sentence of stuff, you know?
So, when we went, we were just walking around the warehouse and, like I said, all I had was a spirit box. That was it. That was the only piece of equipment I had. I'm walking around, and all you really hear is like me asking questions followed by like the tch-tch-tch. The static, you know? And we get a name. Funny enough, the name that comes through is Lalo. You know, I'm asking, like, cómo te llamas? South Texas. We speak Spanish or English. I don't know how it works across, but. And we kept, I kept hearing this name over and over. So then finally. I said, like, you know what? I'm going to go in the restroom and I'm going to go ask stuff in there. Who wants to come with me? And they're all like, nope. And so I was like, all right, I'll go in alone.
Violet: It was really dirty.
Jesus: Yeah. Yeah, it was like a dank restroom. They haven't, like, kept it. So I went in there alone, I, like, closed the door. And I was like, all right, you know, if, if somebody is in here, give me a sign. And I was getting like some phrases coming through. It wasn't until I asked, like, si tu nombre es Lalo, me puedes dar una seña que estás aquí? You know, if your name’s Lalo can you give me a sign that you’re here. And then like, in the clearest, almost like if I'm saying it to you right now, you hear somebody come through and say, mande? I lose it. I'm like, oh my God. Like, that was the clearest thing ever. Like, there's no way.
And so like to me, that mande that came through was what I had been looking for in the sense of like, this device actually works. Something is actually, like, communicating with me, and there's hope in this ghost hunting stuff.
Violet: And for me, I think the ghost hunting is like, yes, it's the paranormal. And yes, it's all of this. But also at the same time, doing these investigations in Laredo, you kind of find out more about the history of Laredo and, like, stuff that maybe someone didn't think happened here, or forgot happened here. And kind of bringing that into the light and saying like, hey yeah, like there's a lot of history here. There's a lot that's happened here. And we're finding it through paranormal investigating. But it, you know, we're still kind of bringing this light to Laredo and its history and everything that has happened here. Because there's a lot. There's a lot of rich history in Laredo.
