Elizabeth “Eli” Pakravan
Born on June 3rd, 1969 in Paraguay.
I was born and raised in a Bahai family. And I practice until today because I, to me, the reason of my existence is God. And, and there is nothing that I can - if you, if you tell me, can you leave your faith or forget about God, it’s like, okay, can you stop breathing? It’s the, like the center of my universe.
Because God is here. So I feel, I feel his or its presence, I don't know how to describe, in every second of my life. Like it's so clear to me. And when I, I have dreams, sometimes I have, like I call spiritual dreams where I feel like, okay, for three days my soul cannot be in this tiny, physical, insignificant body. Because I just feel like I, I want to, you know, be bigger than whatever.
And to me, one of the most, what I pray everyday besides, you know, just for gratitude is to protect from, to protect from my own self. Because I think our ego is something where, it's like, you know, going in a boat, in a river. You, you have to keep moving. Once you stop, you know, the current take you back. So it's a constant work. Every, every day, every second. Just try to be detached from our old self and be happy with it and content with the will of God.
